So I know that Louis’ Mum is currently in a car on the way up from Margaret River to pick up the boys and I feel very sneaky posting this before I give her gift to her but I didn’t want to forget to do it with all the excitement of holidays (1 sleep to go!!!)
I love the pop of the colour against the denim but I have made it reversible so she can turn it inside out if she wants to.

What can you do with;
A cork memo board

I was wondering around blog world today and saw a picture on this blog that made the crazy baking lady in me go “I want to do that now!!!!” so today I made this
It is not perfect or even well presented but I know that my boys can’t wait to cut into it after dinner tonight and enjoy the wonderfully coloured cake inside.
So this is not exactly what I was planning on blogging about today but hope you enjoy it anyway.
A couple of weeks ago I snagged a massive bargain at spotlight, a massive bag of mixed zips for only $5.00 as you can imagine I was super excited about it but after having to wade through the bag again to find the one that I wanted today I got a bit fed up with it and decided to make something to keep them organised and easy to get to.
So I went into the garage and got a piece of scrap wood, the hammer and some nails then picked some pretty material from my stash
then attached the material to the wood (I have shown how I do my corners to make them nice and tidy as well as making it tight across the wood.
Then I put in some nails across the front to hang the zips on
and hung it on the wall

I have to say I am very very sorry for my disappearance. Its been a very insane time for us here, having a bit of trouble physically and emotionally but we are coming out the other side now and I am looking forward to getting back into being creative. This week I have some very big plans! As we are heading off to Bali in just 13 days I am looking forward to doing some sewing for our trip including attempting to make myself some bathers and some summery dresses as well as some bags, covers and wallets.
I have these beautiful fabrics to work with
and an amazing amount of ideas rattling around inside my head so I will stop writing about it and get on with it.
