Zachary’s 3rd Birthday is coming up so much quicker than I would like. He and his brother have so quickly turned into such lovely little men
even if he does have moments that remind us he is still little
(falling asleep on the couch after a shower from a big morning at swimming lessons before I could get him fully dressed)
Anyway we are having a Chuggington birthday party and I am having trouble coming up with ideas of things to put in the loot bags. Soooooo I am asking you…. What would you put in them??? (size is not a concern)
I have had this really really pretty fabric
for a while now just waiting to find out what it was supposed to be. Today feeling sick and with the weather outside being very very stormy inspiration finally struck and I made a dust cover for my sewing machine. 15 minutes, a couple of seams and a ribbon tie later
and I have my dust cover
Since Blogger has been down most of the week I have so much to share with you.
We have done lots of creative stuff this week.
I made a tea set fit for a princess
I forgot to take a picture of the whole set but I also made another tea cut and 2 saucers
I got the pattern from this very creative lady and am looking forward to making some more of her patterns
I also made this very purple tutu tote for another little girls 5th birthday party
But the biggest project I completed this week was turning these
into this
for this
beautiful princess’s 1st Birthday party, whom we love just as much as our boys and who we have enjoyed watching grow into the lovely little lady that she is.
I am loving that is now cold enough to bust out these babies. Louis got them for my birthday last year (August) and I only got to wear them for a little while before it got too hot. Now its starting to get cold my tootsies are toasty warm inside my lovely warm and snuggly Uggboots
And that we a blessed enough to live in a home where our backyard is graced by Kangaroos. Michael came running side to ask me to get the camera because there were Kangaroos our the back and also reminded me that “we have to be very quiet so we don’t scare them away” *blank stare*!!!!!!
I also have to say that I am loving the fact that as I type up this blog entry my wonderful Husband is stacking the dishwasher and cleaning up the kitchen *LOVE*
Linking up with Paisley Jade for Things I’m Loving

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I feel a little envious towards those that got a sleep in. I was up at 6:00AM to get my little family and myself ready to head into Perth and do a 4KM fun for the Mother Day Classic.
This is how I spent my Mothers Day
The boys had a great morning full of bouncy castles, circus acts and lots of food and fun while I ran and earned myself another MDC medal to add to my collection. These little circles of metal mean a lot more to me than a sleep in and breakfast in bed or fancy gifts (although I was blessed with a couple of those as well) Even though I would love to have that sleep in I hope that by giving up those myself I can help someone enjoy their mother through the research into the prevention and cure of breast cancer.
I got to enjoy the rest of the day though. We had a lovely takeout lunch with my mother-in-law where the boys gave me their gifts,a sweet little elephant for my Pandora, some fudge that Michael made a school and a cute book from my MIL, after which I crashed on the couch and the boys played the WII. But I think the best gift of all was having my little family there to support me during my run. I couldn’t have been more blessed this Mothers Day than to be able to spent it with the little people who make this day so special for me.
Okay so after my disastrous attempts at making something for myself for once on Saturday and spending 3 hours at the Emergence Room followed by a very sore finger and arm from the Tetanus shot I had to get after sewing through my finger, I finally sucked it up and faced the sewing machine again last night. Since I am trying to make all of our gifts this year my creative space has been all about Mothers Day. Louis and I have the most amazing Mum’s and we are blessed to still have them in our lives. They are the most wonderful Mothers and Grandparents and we love them both dearly
Louis’ Mum Jo and I at the Michael Buble concert at Margret River in March this year.
And my wonderful Mum (which I have just realised after going through all of my photos that I don’t have a photo of her and I together since one of us is usually behind the camera a massive oversight I shall rectify ASAP)
My creative space has been about these two amazing women who gave birth to us, raised us and continue to encourage, support and love us and our little family. Here is a sneak peak of what I am making for these lovely ladies and will show you after Sunday
Mother’s Day is a day that gives us a chance to stop and thank those special women in our lives that gave us life and helped us live. This Mother’s Day as in the past few years I will be doing the Mothers Day Classic the difference this year is that 1, I am doing the 4KM run instead of walking it and 2, I am fundraising. I ask that you please consider sponsoring me as this event. All proceeds from the Mother's Day Classic are donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, a not for profit organisation that promotes and supports research into breast cancer prevention and treatment.
